For international students, Australia has something bigger and better. Students who completed their higher education in Australia can now apply for Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485). It is a temporary visa which allows the students to live, work, and study in Australia for 18 months to 4 years of time. It is issued to students holding a valid Australian visa under two different streams:
International students whose qualification and skills are related to any occupation mentioned in the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) are eligible to apply under this stream. A visa for a period of 18-months is granted to the successful applicants.
Under this stream, students with higher education in Australia, irrespective of their study field, are eligible for Temporary Graduate Visa (485). However, it is for students who were issued their first student visa on or after 5th November, 2011. The duration of visa depends on the qualification of the student and is for a period of up to 4 years.
The applicant should be in Australia at the time of applying for this visa and should hold a valid Australia visa. The family members covered under this Subclass may or may not be in Australia, but not in immigration clearance, when the visa is granted to the main applicant and when they apply for this visa.
This is an opportunity you should not miss. If you are not really sure that you qualify, do Call us right away. We have registered migration agents working with us at the partnered Australia office. They can file your application and also communicate with DIBP on your behalf.
