Aspiring immigrants inclined for an Overseas Tech Career in Ireland must keep themselves updated regarding the latest updates. An information event was held on 22 November for Guidance Counselors, Parents, Principals, and Post-primary teachers. This was regarding training opportunities, education, and employment in the North West in the ICT sector.

The event witnessed participation from many of the top Fin Tech/ICT employers in the region. It includes Regional Skills Forum, Sligo & Leitrim ETB, Mayo, and IT Sligo.

The information event was held at IT Sligo Aurivo Theatre from 6 pm by the group. Several leading Fin Tech/ICT firms will highlight the diverse range of available careers locally available. These include Sales and Marketing, Finance, Automation, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Software Development & Testing.

IT Sligo, Sligo & Leitrim ETB, and Mayo promoted their comprehensive programs in support of ICT Careers. The event offered an excellent chance to learn more regarding work and study locally in ICT. It also offered an opportunity for collaborating with the employers who were present, as quoted by the Careers News IE.

ETBI is the representative association for 16 Education and Training Boards in Ireland at the national level. Formerly known as the VECs and IVEA, ETBs and ETBI were established on 1 July 2013.

The latest Network of Regional Skills Fora was created as a part of the National Skills Strategy of the Government. It offers an opportunity for the education and training system and employers to work together. This is for catering to the emerging needs for skills in their regions.

Enhanced structured engagement on the agenda for skills is required along with the work of the Fora. This will result in better results for support enterprise and learners.
