Plans, organizes, directs, controls and coordinates medical programs and clinical services in a hospital or other health service facilities, maintains standards of medical care, provides leadership to ensure an appropriately skilled medical workforce, and contributes to health service planning.
Ensures compliance and maintains awareness of payer and reimbursement policies, coding guidelines and health insurance changes.
Maintains organizational policies and procedures for the clinic.
Oversees day-to-day operational and staffing activities.
Administers fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets and coordinating financial reporting.
Bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification.
At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
