In the latest draw held on September 24, 2020, the province of Saskatchewan has invited 535 immigration candidates with work experience in any of the 81 in-demand occupations.

Those invited can now apply to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program [SINP] for a provincial nomination.

If successful in securing a provincial nomination, the candidate can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] for Canada permanent residence.

The previous SINP daw was held on September 15, 2020.

In the latest SINP draw, invitations were sent out to candidates under the categories of Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand.

In order to be considered for selection by the SINP, a candidate is required to submit their Expression of Interest [EOI] profile with the SINP. It is through the EOI system that Saskatchewan selects candidates with the most potential of thriving in the province.

After a candidate has created their EOI profile with the SINP, a score – referred to as the EOI score – is allotted based on 5 factors of age, education, work experience, language ability, and connections to Saskatchewan.

A score, out of 100, is allotted to EOI profiles under the SINP as per the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.

It is the highest-ranking profiles, as per their EOI score, that are issued invitations to apply for a nomination in the SINP draws held.

In the latest draw, the minimum EOI score required was 82 for both the sub-categories.

Category EOI score of lowest ranked candidate Total candidates invited to apply
Occupations In-Demand 82 257
Express Entry 82 278

While a job offer is not required for receiving an invitation through the SINP, candidates must have a minimum of 1 year’s work experience in an eligible occupation corresponding to their specific field of study.

Candidates invited in the latest SINP draw had their Educational Credential Assessment [ECA] reports.

81 occupations in demand in the province were included in the September 24 SINP draw. As per the National Occupational Classification [NOC] code matrix, occupations included were –
