Ontario Moving Forward With Pilot To Welcome 100 New Entrepreneurs

Ontario is starting a new recruitment project in which there are plans to recruit 100 entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs who want to migrate to Canada have to invest $200,000 to purchase any business that is outside Greater Toronto Area.

An announcement has been made by Ontario that Toronto Development Work Center and Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program will work together and launch the entrepreneur pilot. A public bidding process was held and TBDC was selected in this bidding.

The businesses will provide help to those provinces that are in need of help to recover from the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. In December 2021, a pilot for two years was also announced. OINP also aims to help the provinces through Entrepreneur Stream.

The government of Ontario is expecting that the pilot will help in creating more jobs in different sectors like information technology, healthcare, and hospitality.
