The US is aiming to reduce the delays in processing of visas. The US embassy in India announced that Indians residing in other countries will have the opportunity to get visa appointments in those countries. Thailand has opened the capacity for B1/B2 visas for those Indians who will arrive in the country in the near future. The waiting period for the B1/B2 visa in Thailand is only 14 days.
The US has taken a range of initiatives to increase the speed of the processing of visas. These initiatives are:

The waiting period for the first-time applicants in October 2022 was around 3 years. The wait time for the F-1 visa was 90 days.
