Advisories are regularly issued from time to time by various government authorities in view of the many reported instances of immigration fraud. The current advisory comes from the Australian High Commission in New Delhi.
As per the Australian High Commission’s advisory regarding immigration fraud, it is “an offence under Australian immigration law to provide false documents or make misleading statements in a visa application.”
Applications may be refused wherever such migration fraud is discovered. Visas might be cancelled as well. Additionally, the individuals that are involved in the immigration fraud may be barred by law from getting an Australian visa for 1 to 3 years.
In certain cases of immigration fraud, all those involved might be permanently excluded from entering the territory of Australia.
The Australian High Commission warns that all those who facilitate or help in the commission of the fraud will be subjected to a full investigation. These include immigration agents, business owners and education providers.
Details of all such people that are involved in immigration fraud are reported to the law enforcement agencies. Consequently, arrests have been made, along with the pressing of charges.
