Canada · Permanent Residency

The status
that unlocks everything.

Canada PR isn't a visa — it's a permanent place in the world's most opportunity-rich economy. Work for any employer. Study at citizen fees. Bring your spouse and children. Sponsor your parents. Vote at three years. Travel home anytime without re-applying. One status. Five doors. For life.

One status. Five doors.

Canada is the only country where one decision opens all five.

Most countries make you choose a visa for one purpose. Canada PR is purpose-agnostic — the same status lets you work, study, visit home, settle your family, or invest. Y-Axis services every one of those doors, and PR is the front door to all of them.

Door 1 · Work
Any job, any province, no permit.
PR holders work without employer sponsorship, LMIA, or work-permit renewals. Switch jobs the day you land. The median PR-holder salary crosses CAD 70,000 within 18 months.
Door 2 · Study
Pay domestic fees — not international.
PRs and their dependants pay Canadian-resident tuition. A bachelor's that costs an international student CAD 35,000/yr drops to CAD 7,000–12,000. Children's K–12 schooling is free at public schools.
Door 3 · Visit
Come home. Whenever. Forever.
Travel to India or anywhere else with no visa renewals, no entry stamps to worry about. Maintain residency by spending 730 days in Canada over any 5-year window — generous by design.
Door 4 · Migrate
Bring your family with you.
Spouse and children under 22 are included in your PR. Parents and grandparents become sponsorable through PGP from year 2. Siblings through the Family Sponsorship route post-citizenship.
Door 5 · Invest
Buy property. Start a company. Repatriate.
PRs can buy real estate in most provinces (subject to the foreign-buyer ban, which exempts PRs), incorporate a Canadian business, and freely move capital between India and Canada under DTAA.
PR vs Work permit vs Study visa

Why PR beats every other Canada route on its own merits.

A work permit is tied to one employer. A study visa expires when your course ends. A visit visa needs renewal every six months. Permanent Residency is the only Canada status with no expiry and no employer chain — the rest are stepping stones at best.

Y-Path Decision Criteria

Canada scores green on all six dimensions.

Y-Axis built the Y-Path Decision Criteria to stop clients picking countries on emotion. Each candidate country is scored on six life-defining dimensions. Canada is the only major destination that scores green on all six — which is why it remains our single largest migration category, year after year.

01 · Income
High-wage economy
Median household income CAD 75K+. Skilled migrants typically match or exceed within 24 months.
02 · Education
World-class & subsidised
3 universities in global top 50. Domestic fees for PRs. Free K–12 public schooling.
03 · Health
Universal public healthcare
PRs get the same free healthcare as citizens from landing day. Province-administered.
04 · Retirement
CPP, OAS & safe pensions
Earn Canada Pension Plan credits from year one. Old Age Security after 10 years of residency.
05 · Family
Family-class sponsorship
Spouse and kids included. Parents sponsorable through PGP. Siblings via Family Class post-citizenship.
06 · Freedom
Stable democracy, rule of law
Top-10 globally on rule of law, press freedom, and civil liberties indices. Charter-protected rights.

Every Y-Path Evaluation scores your specific profile against these six dimensions before recommending a pathway. Canada wins on the country fit; the Y-Path tells you whether you win on the profile fit.

Questions we hear before every Canada PR file.

For a typical Express Entry candidate with documents ready: ECA takes 6–10 weeks, profile creation is immediate, ITA usually arrives within 1–6 months after pool entry, and post-ITA processing is 6–12 months. A realistic end-to-end window is 12–18 months from kickoff to landing. PNP-led routes can be faster for some provinces, slower for others.
There is no fixed minimum — IRCC issues invitations based on the cut-off of each draw. General draws have hovered around CRS 540+ in recent rounds. Category-specific draws (STEM, healthcare, French, trades) issue invitations at CRS 430–480. Provincial nominations add a flat +600 points, putting any nominated candidate above any draw threshold.
No. Express Entry's Federal Skilled Worker stream is built specifically for applicants without a Canadian job offer. A job offer adds 50–200 CRS points and can make a difference at the margin, but most successful PRs we file are for candidates who land without one. If you want a job offer, Y-Axis Resume Marketing — Canada is a separate cross-sell.
Three paths. One — improve your CRS through language (CLB 9+), Canadian education, or spouse factors. Two — target a PNP whose criteria you meet, which adds +600. Three — re-evaluate against Quebec QSWP or category-specific Express Entry draws, where French and STEM/healthcare backgrounds cut the threshold sharply. The T1 RCIC Strategy Session at ₹5,000 maps which of these applies to you.
Yes — a spouse or common-law partner and any dependent children under 22 are included as accompanying family. Your spouse's CRS contribution can add 30+ points if their CLB and education are strong, which is why we always offer a Couple Evaluation. Children become PRs alongside you on landing day.
Express Entry has no hard age cap, but CRS age points drop sharply after 30 — by 45 you score zero on age. Practically, most successful FSW applicants are 22–35. Above 35, a strong CRS still depends on CLB 9+, Canadian work or study experience, and ideally a PNP route. We've successfully filed clients in their early 40s — the strategy just changes.
The ₹2,300 Y-Path Evaluation is non-refundable once analysis begins, because the work is delivered immediately. However, it's fully creditable toward T1 if you upgrade within 30 days, so functionally you don't lose the money — you carry it up the ladder. The same upgrade-credit rule applies for T1 → T2, T2 → T3, and T3 → T4 within the respective windows.
No legitimate consultant can guarantee a visa outcome — only IRCC decides. Y-Axis guarantees the process: RCIC-supervised filing, document QA at every stage, transparent stage tracking, and adherence to current rules. Our ethical code explicitly forbids inflated scores, false expectations, and pressure sales. If your profile isn't ready, we'll tell you what to fix first.
Rejections at the EE/ITA stage are rare when filing is done correctly — most ineligibility issues are caught upstream during ECA or profile review. If rejection does occur, Y-Axis offers CAN-MRPS Re-Application at ₹15,000, which covers strategic re-filing with adjustments. Refunds for filed cases are not available, in line with industry standards.
Post-PR is where most clients stay with Y-Axis the longest. You can add the Concierge Post-Landing Bundle (SIN, banking, healthcare, schools — handled). Sponsor parents through PGP from year 2. Sponsor siblings post-citizenship. Apply for citizenship at year 3. A typical Canada PR client stays on the Y-Axis platform for a decade.
