Canada Program Updates

British Columbia invites 472 Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates in largest draw of 2018. The total is the most invitations issued this year in a single invitation round. Invitations were issued to BC Express Entry candidates in the stream’s Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories

The BC Express Entry stream is aligned with the federal government’s Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three main economic immigration categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Skills Immigration candidates invited to apply for provincial nomination from the BC PNP in this round were drawn from the stream’s Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories.

Manitoba issues 354 invitations to Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba candidates.
 
A total of 318 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates with a profile in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Expression of Interest (EOI) pool. The lowest-ranked Skilled Worker in Manitoba candidate who received an LAA in this invitation round had a score of 500.
 
Another 36 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates identified through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative and the lowest-ranked had a score of 617. These overseas recruitment missions are conducted regularly by representatives of the Manitoba government, often in partnership with Manitoba employers.
 
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream is open to eligible temporary foreign workers and international student graduates in the province who are currently working in the province. In order to be eligible for this stream, candidates must have a permanent, full-time job offer from their Manitoba employer, among other requirements.

Application should be accepted into IRCC’s Express Entry Pool, have an Express Entry profile Number and Job Seeker Validation              Code.

 

Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid;

 

Have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in one of our target occupations from the recent ten years.

 

Required to submit a non-refundable $300 application fee online.
