PTE score approved for Canada immigration

IRCC allowed four tests for language proficiency which include IELTS and CELPIP for English and TCF and TEF for French. IRCC has announced to accept PTE also for Canada PR applications. The PTE test is taken up for English language proficiency. Pearson has created the PTE Essential test for English language proficiency for Canada Immigration.

Language proficiency score for Canada study permits is different. Applicants for study permits have to go for academic versions of language proficiency test. Now total number of tests is 5 for Canada immigration and they include:

• IELTS
• CELPIP
• PTE
• TEF
• TCF

The aim to accept PTE is that IRCC wants immigrants to show their capability for reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
