As per the updated data from the Schengen Visa Statistics, Germany holds the highest record for multiple-entry Schengen visas issuance in 2022.
The statistics show that 90.6 percent of the visas were issued by visa centres and consulates in Germany from all over the globe were mainly multiple entries, permitting the visa holder to move in the country more than one time.
A total number of 1,043,297 visas were issued, out of which 817,307 visas were issued by German consulates and visa centres. Out of those 817,307 visas, 740,356 visas were multiple entry visas. Germany is known for its low rejection rate and for the highest rate of visa issuance.
Countries near Germany, like Estonia and Slovenia, issued 81.3 and 81.6 percent MEV respectively.
Some countries with low MEVs’ issuance got more applications as compared to Germany in 2022. As per the data, Spain issued 39.3 percent of multiple-entry visas, and France issued 40 percent of multiple-entry visas.
