Prince Edward Island, often referred to as PEI, or as simply The Island, is the smallest province in Canada. PEI is a part of the Provincial Nominee Program of Canada.
On November 18, 2021, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program [PEI PNP] invited 188 Canada immigration hopefuls to apply for a nomination.
Provincial draws by Prince Edward Island are held as per a pre-determined schedule. The previous PEI PNP draw was held on October 21, 2021.
The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled to be held on December 16, 2021.

The PEI PNP Express Entry stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. To be eligible for this PEI PNP pathway, you will have to fulfil the eligibility requirements of any one of the Express Entry programs –  the Federal Skilled Worker Program [FSWP],  the Federal Skilled Trades Program [FSTP, or  the Canadian Experience Class [CEC].
A PNP nomination is worth 600 CRS points for an Express Entry candidate. CRS stands for the Comprehensive Ranking System used for ranking profiles in the IRCC Express Entry pool of candidates.
There are two separate streams under the category, depending on whether or not the candidate has a PEI job offer.
The Labour Impact category is for foreign nationals that have –
PEI PNP’s Labour Impact category includes three separate streams – International Graduate, Critical Worker, and Skilled Worker.
An EOI must be submitted to the PEI PNP for being considered eligible for Labour and Express Entry invitations.
The Business Impact category, on the other hand, is for foreign nationals interested in pursuing a viable business opportunity in the province that would like to apply for a PEI PNP nomination for Canada PR.

With the latest round of invitations, a total of 1,729 invitations have been issued so far by the PEI PNP in the 11 draws held in 2021.
Of these, 1,583 invitations were for PEI PNP Express Entry and Labour Impact categories. 146 invitations were for Business Impact candidates.
