· New Zealand education has internationally competitive standards. New Zealand students win scholarships to prestigious institutions around the world. The academic staffs at New Zealand Universities are appointed on merit from all countries. New Zealanders can be found working at high levels in other English speaking countries.
· English is the everyday language of New Zealanders (Queen’s English version) and the language of instruction.
· New Zealand provides a wide variety of institutions - secondary, tertiary and English language, in a variety of study environments. International students are impressed with the wide range of general and specialist courses available.

· New Zealanders are friendly and hospitable. Surveys indicate that international students rank New Zealand living conditions the best of the English speaking destinations.
· It is a politically stable democracy, with corruption very low (ranked in top three worldwide) and relatively safe (for example the police are unarmed). This is particularly important for younger students.
· The climate is temperate with seasonal changes and is conducive to study and outdoor recreation.
· New Zealand is an easy introduction to Western living and culture for those wishing to move on to other Western countries later
