There is a huge shortage of nurses in the USA and the rest of the world. The demand is just beginning.
To work as an RN in the USA all nurses are required to pass the NCLEX (RN), the nurse licensing exam. This is conducted on almost every day of the week and is offered only inside the USA. Foreign nurses, usually do not get a visa to enter the USA and write the NCLEX. Therefore the CGFNS is available to foreign nurses who wish to work in the US. To prove that they are eligible to work in the US, a foreign nurse must pass the
CGFNS & IELTS / TOEFL & TSE.
The CGFNS is conducted outside the USA only and is held in 40 cities every
3-4 months (March, July, September & November).
It is therefore a lucrative business to train foreign and supply them to the USA.
