There is an immediate demand for 18,000 nurses in Britain.
According to the new NHS Plan, investment in NHS staff including 7,500 more consultants, 2,000 new GPs, 20,000 more nurses and over 6,500 extra health professionals
BUPA (Britain’s largest private healthcare provider) to recruit up to 1,500 Indian nurses to meet a staffing crisis in hospitals and nursing homes across the country. BUPA is offering sponsorship, return flights, two-year rolling contracts and salaries of between 16,500 pounds and 18,000 pounds per annum for Indian candidates.
Around 30,000 overseas nurses work in the NHS, and a third of all nurses in London are from overseas. |
